For a long time, this event has been awaited by animation fans and film lovers. The exhibition “Pixar World: Immersive Universes” comes to Mexico, with the purpose of guiding visitors on an incredible journey through the worlds of Pixar Animation Studios.
A unique experience that guarantees to amaze all ages, just as it has already done in numerous cities in Latin America since it first opened its doors in Sao Paulo, Brazil.
What will you find in Mundo Pixar CDMX?
Mounted by MP Producciones, Ozono Producciones and Ocesa, under the supervision of Pixar, this exhibition will cover an area of 3,500 m2 with nine sculptures of iconic characters and 12 thematic spaces inspired by the studio’s beloved works: Coconut; Up: a high adventure; Toy Story; Cars; Intensely; Ratatouille Finding Nemo, Luca and many more. All this thanks to the efforts of a team of more than 700 people who worked hard for four months.
Explore the secrets of Pixar’s filmmaking as you come face to face with its most iconic characters and worlds. Travel through iconic settings ranging from Andy’s room or Riley’s Memories Headquarters, to a trip to the World of the Dead with Mama Coco, to visiting Mr. Fredricksen’s flying house or Flo’s V8 Café.
“If you’ve ever dreamed of diving deep into Pixar stories, you need to visit Pixar World. Creating an experience like this is, in many ways, like creating your favorite Pixar movie. “We pay attention to every detail, bringing you closer to our characters,” said Jay Ward, creative director of Pixar and curator of this exhibition, in a statement. “It’s like watching one of our movies, but instead of enjoying them on the screen, you have the opportunity to walk through them and experience Pixar’s narrative in a richer and more authentic way than ever before.”
And that’s not all! In Mexico, the exhibition was designed to guarantee access to people with motor, hearing, visual and neurodivergent disabilities. The facilities will have QR codes that provide detailed audio descriptions of each area, videos in sign language and trained staff to provide support. There will be rest areas with reduced stimuli and the option to use sensory kits containing sound-reducing headphones and glasses with a green UVI filter.
Dates and headquarters in Mexico
The exhibition will be open from Thursday to Sunday from December 14, 2023.
The headquarters is The Great Santa Fe Tent in Mexico City. The facility is located at Avenida Vasco de Quiroga No. 2000, Col. Santa Fe, next to Televisa Santa Fe. CP. 05300.
