The Guanajuato mummies are ready to wreak havoc! And it is that a new horror and comedy production is coming, which will take the best of the historical legends of our country to create a series of episodes with a lot of suspense… and laughter.

What is the series about?
Through a statement, TelevisaUnivisión advances the following:
“Pinches mummies has its roots in Mexican history and folklore, with a story based on the mummies of Guanajuato, one of the most fascinating mummy collections in the world. The series follows a group of teenagers from Guanajuato who become their town’s only hope for survival when their famous mummies come back from the dead during the Cervantino Festival, the busiest week of the year.
Production cast and crew
fucking mummies is starring Rafael Inclan (Nicotine), Luis Fernando Pena (Loving You hurts), Carlos Aragon (kilometer 31) and Diana Bovio (Mirreyes vs Godinez). The youth cast is made up of xiunel gonzalez, Daniel Abrego, rogelio cruz, Saak Figueroa Borquez, Berenice Jonguitud (Surviving my XV) and Laura Wedel.
The creators are Santiago Limon (Cindy the royal) and Jose Miguel Nunez (Rebel). Ben Silverman (The office), Howard T Owens, rodney ferrell and Isabel San Vargas They are executive producers.
What can we expect from the episodes?
The project aims to explore a mix of genres not seen much in today’s Mexico. Regarding the opportunity to merge horror and comedy with elements of our region, Rodrigo Mazón, executive vice president of ViX, said the following:
“To venture into a rarely seen genre, by creating the first series of TelevisaUnivision’s Propaga Fuego for ViX, is a source of pride, and we hope that the public will have the opportunity to experience it soon. We couldn’t think of a better first project to launch together than fucking mummies”.
For his part, Santiago Limón, who serves as director and showrunnersaid this:
«I am very happy to start such an exciting project full of young talents. It’s a fun and authentic Mexican story. I hope you enjoy it and have as much fun as we enjoyed making it.”

All episodes will be available as of September 1, 2023 on the platform of streaming ViX. The first episode can be seen for free.
