The PICO company has announced PEAK 4his new virtual reality glasses with which he intends combine comfort and the best possible performance on a single device. One of its strong points is that it is compact and light, something that is obvious due to its weight of 295 grams so that it is not bothersome to play while we have it placed on our heads.
In addition, for comfort it will be equipped with adjustable straps and will use a SuperSkin fabric for the lining of the pads, which will allow users to stay cool and dry during games. And along with this you will have a battery that will allow you to play for three hours and capable of recharging quickly.
Regarding its internal technology, inside the glasses there is a Qualcomm Snapdragon XR2 chipset to obtain a good enough balance between performance and energy consumption. In turn, it has a refresh rate of 90 Hz, a screen with 4K resolution, four SLAM cameras and will also have its own controls.
These are characterized by their infrared sensors and a design that fits easily in the hands. But it will not be the only device that will accompany the glasses, because there will also be other compatible accessories, such as the PICO Fitness band to detect all body movements.
In fact, the band will be very useful for the different video games that PICO 4 will have in its own library, including the program PEAK Fitness for users to stay in shape while playing, with exercise plans included, although certain titles available through Steam VR can also be accessed.
PICO 4 will go on sale in 13 countries in Europe, in addition to Japan and Korea, the October 18. Its price will be €429 and from tomorrow reservations will be opened in stores like Amazon or Mediamarkt for all those who want to buy their own glasses in advance.
