the new yorker Philip Leyesa, at the head of the Philllllthy brand, he is one of the most sought-after designers today. He bases his style on the Japan of his ancestors, and under that perspective he launched, in alliance with Adidas, the Philllllthy x Adidas NMD S1 Blue.
Leyesa defines himself as “a creative at heart who designs unique clothing and limited edition sneakers for artists, athletes and celebrities alike”.
“If you are consistently inconsistent, you remain consistent” is his favorite phrase.
The designer, as explained hypebeast, is one of Adidas’s most recent additions to its list of collaborators. Leyesa had previously worked with the three stripes brand, and now she does it again with her Philllllthy x Adidas NMD S1 Blue.
The most outstanding characteristics of the model Philllllthy x Adidas NMD S1 Blue
The key is the shoe’s fresh approach, with an off-white checkered knit upper. Meanwhile, the toe and heel are presented in blue and black, and the midfoot has the three stripes in blue with an off-white background.
In the ankle area, soft blue is combined with touches of white. The laces are light blue.
The most curious thing about Leyesa’s creation is, without a doubt, the sole unit. We do not know if it is in homage to the traditional robots of Japanese anime, or an electronic device, such as a television, but the size is considerable, straight cuts and protruding button-type elements.
The midsole is BOOST, full-length, encased in a translucent blue that features the duo’s co-branding.
The Philllllthy x Adidas NMD S1 Blue sneakers will be sold from November 15 for $220 a pair, through the official portal of Adidas and at select retail stores, such as Sevenstore.
