In great news for the entire gaming community, Peter Weller is returning for the RoboCop: Rogue City video game release in 2023. Publisher Nacon originally announced Rogue City during their Nacon Connect event in July 2021, promising an FPS title. action-packed set in the RoboCop universe.
Something we find quite curious is that Terminator: Resistance developer Teyon is producing the project, which will put players in the role of a cyber-enhanced Alex Murphy. While this doesn’t mark the first interactive RoboCop experience, Rogue City’s gameplay reveal trailer suggests it could prove to be a cut above the rest.

During his Nacon Connect presentation, Publisher Nacon showed off a first look at the bloody action in RoboCop: Rogue City. Peter Weller, who played the title character in the film, will play RoboCop in the upcoming adventure set in crime-ridden Detroit, Michigan.
Although Teyon based the story of RoboCop: Rogue City on the 1987 classic, players can expect dialogue options to drive the experience forward. Teyon and Nacon have also scoffed at open scouting in Detroit.
However, at the time of writing, there is no word on whether the game will feature a fully open world. The trailer ends with the confirmation that Rogue City will arrive in June 2023 for Nintendo Switch, PC via Steam, and the Epic Games Store, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S platforms.
Since its debut in the late 1980s, RoboCop has received its fair share of video game adaptations. Data East produced a side-scrolling beat ’em up in 1988, for example. Various other developers over the decades have also tried the series.
