Pentiment, the new Obsidian Entertainment, has been confirmed at this non-E3 2022 Xbox & Bethesda. For a few months it has been rumored that Obsidian Entertainment was working on an exclusively narrative game, from the director of The Outer Worlds, set in the Middle Ages, which would combine narration, thriller and a fairly elaborate historical section. The rumors have come true, because Pentiment has been confirmed as a new Obsidian game and with a launch frame: the game will arrive in November of this year on Xbox and PC and will launch on Xbox Game Pass, both for console and PC.
Confirmed Pentiment as a new Obsidian game, in November for Xbox Game Pass:
Despite how little Xbox has given meet pentiment, we can get a slight idea of where Obsidian Entertainment is going with its new title. The surprising art section is very reminiscent of books from the Middle Ages and it is very interesting that Obsidian wanted to stick to that type of design for his game. It is very likely that conversations will play a fundamental role in this story, as we have seen in this brief preview, which seems to show murders, mysteries and thrillers very much in the style of The Name of the Rose by Umberto Eco.
Historical characters will also appear, albeit in the form of a wink, such as Socrates and it is very likely that The Inquisition or even The Black Death will be part of the story. Despite not knowing the release date, everything indicates that Pentiment will not suffer delays and we will see it this month of November 2022 on Xbox Game Pass.
