Pedro Pascal has spoken about what will happen to Joel in The Last of Usseason 2. HBO’s post-apocalyptic series continues to give people something to talk about despite the fact that its first batch of episodes has already finished airing, and the fact is that the connection of the audience with its main characters has been so deep that the networks are flooded with theories about the fate that these characters will have in future episodes.
Because yes, it has already been confirmed that, due to the success of the series, a second part will be produced. But very little had been revealed about what would happen in this new installment. However, Pascal was a bit ahead of the official announcement. The actor gave a hint about what awaits the survivor who has stolen the hearts of many people.
NOTE: There are spoilers for the game below. The Last of Us Part 2
Within the events of the video game, Joel dies after being attacked by the daughter of one of the doctors he killed to save Ellie from that fateful procedure. And what Pedro Pascal said is that the second season will closely follow the plot of what was first told in bits. This was what he said during an interview with esquire:
“It wouldn’t make sense to follow the first game so faithfully and then go seriously off track. That’s my honest answer.”
So. Short and simple. It is also true that in the same interview it is made clear that the actor has never played the games, although he knows very well what is happening with Joel, so he is ready for whatever comes.
To this we must add that the creator Craig Maizin has already said on previous occasions that he is not afraid of killing characters when developing a project. It is one of the characteristics of his work.
If something bad happened with Joel in The Last of Usseason 2, what would you like to see done in later episodes?
