Fabio Quartararo cannot
The scenario would change shortly after. Viñales beat Bastianini and the World Cup leader did the same with Espargaró. Fabio Quartararo began the pursuit of the forward quartet, but his attempts would only serve to leave his direct rival far behind. From then on, the Frenchman from Yamaha would ride to the end in a comfortable fifth position.
With 12 laps to go, Enea Bastianini went wide and lost position for a few moments with Luca Marini. Bagnaia and Viñales took advantage of this situation to catch a few meters, but the Beast would soon remedy his mistake and he would re-enter the fight squarely. It was then that the error of the Aprilia pilot arrived.

In his attempt to place himself first, Maverick ended up slipping and losing position with Bastianini. Gresini’s man put all his efforts then to hunt down a Bagnaia that had gained a few meters in this action. The two Italians arrived close to each other on the last lap, but the Gresini Racing rider couldn’t beat the #63 at any time.
Aleix Espargaró had to settle for sixth position and sees how his situation facing the title is complicated. There are already 33 points that separate him from the lead. Álex Rins was seventh ahead of Brad Binder and Jorge Martín. Álex Márquez has managed to sneak into the top ten of the day.
