Pecco Bagnaia has achieved the triumph in the MotoGP British Grand Prix after beating a Maverick Viñales who at times had victory within his grasp. The Ducati leader has been solid in the lead and has already accumulated four victories so far this year. Your partner Jack Miller has occupied the last drawer of the podium on a day in which the first in the general classification have always been far from the fight for it.
Johann Zarco signed a good start and maintained the first position. Maverick Viñales could not say the same, who lost four positions and fell to sixth place. Fabio Quartararo was chasing his compatriot ahead of the Ducatis of Jack Miller and Pecco Bagnaia. The World Cup leader would hold on in that position until the inevitable compliance with the ‘long lap’ that had been imposed on him after the Assen trial. He would then fall to fifth place and would not be so far ahead in the remainder of the race.

I wouldn’t hold out for long either. johann zarco. The Frenchman from Pramac Racing he would go down on the fifth lap and, although at first he returned to the track, he ended up signing the abandonment. Who seemed unstoppable during the first half of the event was Álex Rins. A magnificent start had allowed Suzuki to be placed in the ‘top 5’ after having started from eleventh position. He continued to climb until he became the leader with 15 laps to go and had an advantage of more than eight tenths with the rest of his rivals.
Nevertheless, Rins ended up succumbing to the push of the Ducati and finally had to settle for being seventh. The first to hunt down the Spanish was a Pecco Bagnaia who would not leave the first position. The only one who was in a position to dispute it was Maverick Vinales. The one from Aprilia began his comeback in the last stretch of the race and, with just a couple of laps to go, he tried to overtake definitively. He was unable to consolidate it and from then on two small leaks prevented him from trying again.
Enea Bastianini also gained several positions in the closing stages until she was just on the verge of the podium. Jorge Martín and Miguel Oliveira were fifth and sixth respectively. Fabio Quartararo had to settle for eighth position, just one ahead of his rival in the championship. Aleix Espargaró could only finish ninth after yesterday’s crash, but he can leave Silverstone satisfied that he hasn’t given up too much ground in the fight for the title.
