There are only a few days left until Overwatch 2 is a reality and the free-to-play multiplayer shooter from Blizzard Entertainment does not stop generating new news and information. If today we knew that new users will need to play around a hundred games to be able to unlock the entire cast of original characters, now we have known that Overwatch 2 could have collaborations with other licenses in the future. This has been dropped by the vice president of the franchise, Jon Spector, in a chat maintained with the Game Informer portal where he has reviewed the latest news from the company a few hours after its arrival on consoles and PC.
“We’ve seen some really fun examples of games working with other brands or other games. I myself am a big anime fan. I think it’s really cool when we see Naruto show up in Fortnite. I don’t even play Fortnite, but it’s awesome. And if we look at the Overwatch 2 space, those are things we are interested in exploring. When we do (if we do), one of our key values is to do it in a way that feels like it fits into the Overwatch franchise,” Spector said, placing a heavy emphasis on anime in particular.
These are the hours you must play Overwatch 2 to get the old heroes if you are new
This being the case, we must not rule out, much less see in the future anime characters, video games or other fields of entertainment appear in Overwatch 2, either as heroes added to the cast or temporary appearances, or even just skins for other characters. Be that as it may, remember that Overwatch 2 is coming next October 4 to Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and other platforms with much of their content to be unlocked by new players, as well as with locked heroes for everyone until enough progress is made in the battle pass.
