A few weeks ago the Chinese manufacturer realme became the first brand to launch magnetic wireless charging technology on Android. The firm baptized its new line of MagDart chargers, which are inspired by the Apple MagSafe, although with improvements in its charging power.
Today OPPO followed in the footsteps of its sub-brand, realme, and during the China International Smart Industry Expo it showed its wireless magnetic charging technology, which it christened MagVOOC.
The designs and specifications between MagDart and MagVOOC are different.
OPPO’s simplest charger will also be a copy of Apple’s MagSafe, but its power will reach 20W, making it the smallest magnetic charger with the highest power so far.
On the other hand, the second charger will be vertical and with a design similar to the wireless charging bases of manufacturers such as OnePlus and Google. That is, once the phone is placed on the base, it will be arranged in such a way that you can interact with it in the same way as if it had been placed on a support.
The power of this charger is 40W, so the difference of 10W makes the MagDart by realme remain the most powerful magnetic charger so far.
To complete the family of magnetic charging devices, OPPO also presented a powerbank with this technology. The battery has a capacity of 4,500mAh and offers a power of 20W by magnetic conduction and 10W by cable.
So far OPPO has not revealed when it plans to launch these charging accessories on the market.
