Genos’ death could bring out Saitama’s full potential.
The last chapters of One Punch Man have been more than revealing. After everything that has happened in the series, we realize that Garou is a very peculiar character and different from the cast of the series. Although he belongs to the villainous side of the Monster Association, there are many personality traits of him that set him apart from the general nature of the enemies we see in One Punch Man.
First of all, Garou has been able to accomplish feats that have earned him the respect of others, although, unsurprisingly, Saitama got in the way of this winning streak and stopped Garou’s plans.who has focused on killing the heroes as unnecessary and dangerous to humanity.
In fact, the damage he could inflict on the members of the Hero Association was impressive. And, after becoming absolute evil, it seemed that this evolution would guarantee him the fulfillment of his objectives and, therefore, would unbalance the scale of power that One Punch Man shows.
But although there were some events already expected for the last chapter of One-Punch Man, there was a significant moment that showed that not everything was said: the supposed death of an important character for the series.
The events of the last chapter of One Punch Man
So far, as we’ve mentioned, the series has shown, in the Monster Association arc, much of Garou’s history and evolution. I include more than Saitama himself.
During his youth, Garou was an outstanding martial arts student of Bang, in the S-Class hero’s dojo. But after demonstrating his great abilities, he dropped out of school to pursue his interests: being one of the most powerful villains in the world. world. Of course, this caught the attention of the Monster Association, who were currently devising their next plan of attack, but this was not to Garou’s liking. Even though his intentions weren’t exactly good, he wasn’t looking for the villains’ acceptance either. So he started fighting heroes and monsters.
And although he was able to complete his transformation into a monster, he still wasn’t strong enough to face Saitama, or at least until he God got involved in the situation and gave Garou the final cosmic form.
In this way, in the previous chapter, Garou showed his new abilities that God had given him, so he launched a Cosmic ray that practically left behind one of the most dangerous radiations in the universe. In fact, it was so deadly that it could have killed everything in its path, even if Saitama had gotten in the way or the hostages, he would have suffered a terrible poisoning. Just as Bang had taken charge of entertaining Garou, Genos launched an attack. Despite having no arms or legs, he pushed himself off the ground and threw himself at Garou. But at that moment, Garou decided that his main target was Saitama, while getting rid of Genos’ power core..
As is visible, Genos had mortal wounds, but his power core has been a fundamental pillar for battles. This core contains an immense amount of energy that is capable of launching lightning attacks. and when it’s nearing depletion, Genos can continue to function as long as you’re connected to it. However, the cyborg would be unable to move without the core and would not be able to “live” either. That is, his tissues would be exposed, in such a way that he would lose his life support, something that is a kind of death.
The adventure series has taken a while to take care of killing some of its characters, even if it is the secondary ones. In fact, several of them have suffered attacks that no living being could withstand. But One Punch Man has become serious this time, since Genos’s death did have a plot end and that is that it motivates Saitama to get his maximum power due to the seriousness of the situation.
It is likely that Genos will be able to revive later, however, it is also not a fact that his death changes the fate of the hero, except that he is forced to find a way to save the day, especially since the deaths of the characters of One Punch are counted. And perhaps this reason is enough to fully understand Saitama’s strength.
