“What did you think of the first season of One Piece? I spent a lot of time working with Netflix and Tomorrow Studios. It seems like everyone has enjoyed the series, which makes the production team’s hard work really worth it. To the fans of One Piece during all these years and to those who saw it for the first time, thank you very much. Two weeks after the launch, I received great news… Netflix decided to renew the series! The adventures of Iñaki and the Straw Hats will continue! It will still take a while to get the scripts, so be patient.”

The series produced by Tomorrow Studios and the publisher Shueisha, in association with Netflix, is headed by the Mexican Iñaki Godoy (Luffy), Mackenyu (Roronoa Zoro), Emily Rudd (Nami), Taz Skylar (Sanji) and Jacob Romero Gibson (Usopp ). All of them, commanded by Steven Maeda (lost) and Matt Owens (Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D..), who fled as co-showrunnersscreenwriters and executive producers.
Now you might be wondering, how soon could we see Season 2 of One Piece? In a recent interview with Variety, Marty Adelstein, CEO of Tomorrow Studios, confirmed that they already have drafts ready for the scripts for the entire second season. Although to move forward, the strikes of the actors’ and writers’ unions in Hollywood must first be resolved.
However, Becky Clements, president of Tomorrow Studios, offered a tentative window on how long it would take to complete the next batch of episodes:
“Realistically, hopefully, [tendríamos lista la segunda temporada de One Piece] within a year, if we act very quickly, and that is a possibility,” Clements stated. “Sometime between a year and 18 months, we could be ready to go on the air.”
