In an event headed by the President of the Republic, Andres Manuel Lopez Obradorand the head of the SICT, Jorge Nuño Lara, as well as authorities of the federal government and the State of Mexico, today was inaugurated Road to Tonanitlathe main road to AIFA that will shorten transfer times.
On the way to Tonanitla it crosses the Mexican municipalities of Ecatepec, Tecamac, Tanonitla, Nextlalpan and Zumpango. Its intermediate incorporations are found in Jaltenco-Héroes Tecamac (km 5) and Tonanitla-Ojo de agua (km 9.6).
This new road will benefit users who arrive at the Felipe Ángeles Airport by car. Which is part of the comprehensive system that includes mass public transport such as the Suburban Train and the Mexibus.
During the construction of Camino a Tonanitla, 15,000 direct jobs and 30,000 indirect jobs were generated. In addition to the fact that 2 and a half million Mexicans will benefit from better roads and reduced travel times. Up to 40 thousand vehicles can circulate daily in an agile way.
The road to Tonanitla is 14.1 km long with three lanes divided by a separator. An investment of 7,500 million pesos was made for its construction.
He AIFA is located in the Mexico state and it is an option of relief for the national and international flights who arrive at the megalopolis made up of the Mexico City, Mexico state, Queretaro, Morelos and Gentleman. However, it is not a replacement for the current Benito Juárez International Airport, since it continues to function and continues to be an option for those traveling to AIFA from more remote areas.
