The extra coverage of AppleCare + allows us to certain accidental damage repairs after payment of a reduced fee of 29 euros. Until now this reduced fee only covered damage to the screen, but now it will also cover possible damage to the rear glass.
An increasingly interesting insurance
Repairing a component failure under warranty is really easy. Apple is very fast at repairs, so in general we usually leave the store with the iPhone fixed in a few hours. And the price? None, covered by warranty. The story, however, changes for out-of-warranty repairs.
The warranty does not cover accidental damage, which means that an iPhone that needs a repair due to a fall, for example, will require a considerable payment, always based on the damage. This is where AppleCare + comes into play, allowing us to repair accidental damage in flat rate mode.
After hiring the service, any damage to the iPhone is repaired after a payment of 99 euros. Meanwhile, any damage to the screen, and from now on to the rear glass, requires a payment of only 29 euros. It is clear that Apple have wanted to add the cover of the rear glass because, like the screen, being a brittle material, it has a greater possibility of being damaged.
Thus, if we have an iPhone 12 or plan to buy the new iPhone 13, it is a good idea to consider buying AppleCare +. In the end, it is a peace of mind to know that the most common damages can be repaired for only 29 euros.
