Without a doubt, it has been a difficult day for the Peruvian National Team. And it is that the head of Juan Reynoso is not only in the duel against Morocco, but also in what happened during the banderazo: the bicolor players had an altercation with Spanish police officers outside the concentration hotel. However, as the hours passed, Alberto Farje, general director of Peruvian Communities Abroad and Consular Affairs, revealed that Pedro Gallese He was transferred to a tax police station, after being denounced for allegedly having beaten a Spanish policeman during the incidents this Monday in Madrid. Of course, hours later, the Foreign Ministry confirmed that the “Octopus” returned to the concentration with the rest of his colleagues.
“In a confusing incident there was a brawl and Mr. Gallese is currently being held (…) Mr. Gallese’s arrest occurred precisely as a result of a police officer’s complaint for a coup”, Farje pointed out in an interview with RPP Sports.
In the same way, the Foreign Ministry official also indicated that, after the incident on the outskirts of the concentration hotel, the Spanish police entered the compound to transfer the captain of the “Blanquirroja” to the San Martín police station. He even pointed out that the Consulate of Peru in Spain acted immediately and went to the police station to offer its support to the soccer player.
“Right now our consul in Madrid is at the San Martín police station to give him the corresponding consular attention. I have been accompanying him on the stage and everything indicates that after taking his statements Mr. Gallese would go out to his hotel, let’s say”, he added.
It should be noted that hours later, the Peruvian Foreign Ministry spoke through its social networks, where they made it clear that the captain of the red-and-white was already together with the rest of his companions: “The General Consulate of Peru in Madrid informs that the player Pedro Gallese recently withdrew from the police station where he gave statements, without charge. He goes to the hotel of the concentration of the selection ”.
