Apple spent more than $ 60 million on paid search ads in 2020

According to recent research by Semrush, among the top 100 companies on the Fortune 500 list,Apple ranks 12th among companies that invest the most in paid search.
The recently released list states that Apple spent $ 64.8 million in 2020, for appearing in the first places when users perform a search in the search engine.
There’s something Apple isn’t number one at
The analysis carried out by the producer of search engine optimization and targeting tools Semrush, evaluated monthly traffic costs, calculating average click-through rates and the positioning of the domain in the first 8 paid positions in Google Ads for keywords included in its database.
On the overall list, Apple was ranked 12th overall on the Fortune 100 list, just behind Nike at 11th and Walmart at 10th. While Alphabet, Google’s parent company, spent the most on search ads in 2020: almost 774 million dollars. Amazon came in second with $ 471 million invested, while Microsoft came in fourth with $ 160 million.
Overall, the analysis showed that Advertisers spent an estimated $ 59.22 billion on paid search ads, and the Fortune 100 companies were responsible for about $ 3.05 billion of that total. Paid search ads are based on a pay-per-click model where businesses only pay for an ad when a user clicks on it.
