About to be launched on the European market as the X-Trail, and with more than a year on sale in the United States, the American division of the Japanese brand has presented a special edition of the SUV at the 2022 New York Motor Show, the Nissan Pathfinder Rock Creek, characterized by a very offroad style.

The Nissan Pathfinder Rock Creek presents special details with a more robust and gross aesthetic practically on all four sides. Up front, the grille with the familiar “V Motion” design has dropped its usual chrome finish and has opted for a sportier glossy black. In addition, the front presents more distinctive features, replacing the horizontal slats of the grille with a honeycomb mesh painted in black, and increasing the cache with a chrome trim on the three thin gills on the upper part.

Even the bumper is new. The front is presented in black plastic and with new air intakes housed on the sides that the normal versions do not have, while the lower part retains the additional grille with a satin chrome insert and the integrated fog lights. The Rock Creek Pathfinder also has some Special gloss black painted 18-inch diameter alloy wheelsmounted on tires with off-road specifications.
Inside, the new Nissan Pathfinder Rock Creek has a special identity despite being a purely family model, with five meters long and with three rows of seats and seven seats. It is for this reason that a special roof rack has been included to increase the load volume on the roof panel, supporting a maximum of 100 kilograms. But in the cabin, wrapped in black leather upholstery with orange fabric inserts and stitching, as well as on the steering wheel rim, dashboard and door panels. A special badge with the name of the special edition has been embroidered on the same orange thread.
The new Nissan Pathfinder Rock Creek, which will arrive at American dealerships after next summer, will only be available with four-wheel drive Y air suspension that will raise the bodywork in special situations, and having a system of 360º cameras with off-road mode. The only possible mechanical version will be the most powerful of the offer, a block of six-cylinder gasoline with a maximum power of 295 hpwhich is a small extra 11 hp thanks to a new injection map.
