Nintendo 64 and SEGA Mega Drive come to Nintendo Switch through the so-called Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack, a premium plan that will feature the well-known NES and SNES games of now, plus games from the two consoles announced in tonight’s Nintendo Direct. It will be available at the end of October and more details about its price and contents will be released soon.
At the moment, among the confirmed games are classics such as Mario Kart 64, Mario Tennis, F-Zero GX, The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask or Pokémon Snap on the side of Nintendo 64. On the side of SEGA Mega Drive, will feature games like Sonic 2, Golden Ax, Streets of Rage.
The thing does not end there, since this new plan for Nintendo Switch Online will arrive with two new controls, the Nintendo 64 and the SEGA Mega Drive, of course. They will cost 49.99 euros and will be available to subscribers to Nintendo’s online service, although it does not yet have a specific date.
This is an already rumored way to bring more value to your online subscription with more current retro games and loved by the gaming community, although it is reflected in a new plan that, presumably, will be more expensive than the current one. We will see that more Nintendo 64 and SEGA Mega Drive games arrive soon apart from those already confirmed.
