Rumors about the future of the hybrid do not stop.
Nintendo Switch is available in stores from March 3, 2017, fulfilling in just a few months the amount of 5 years since its launch. That is why, even with the recent release of the Nintendo Switch OLED, it seems obvious that the console life cycle is slowly approaching its end.
Under this premise, many speculate that it could be in 2023, 2024 and even 2025, reaching the hybrid console in the latter case the amount of 8 years on the market. Nevertheless, this could not be fully fulfilled, since it is beginning to speculate no longer about the famous Nintendo Switch Pro, but to the successor of the console.
Nintendo Switch 2 would be in stores in 2022 or early 2023
According to what has been known recently, new rumors claim that the successor to Nintendo Switch would hit the market between Christmas 2022 and early 2023. All of this is sourced from YouTube lime Nate the Hate Over, who has leaked Nintendo stuff in the past, though it wouldn’t be the first time he’s wrong. Be that as it may, he has stated that a new console would arrive a year from now, which means that we could start seeing things shortly in case it’s real.
Also, for greater inri, this report also mentions that the console would not be compatible with previous games, that is, those launched in all current Nintendo Switch models that do share the same system, something that Nintendo would be trying to solve.
Needless to say the latter already takes away a lot of credibility, since this is something that should already be solved for a long time if it is real and not a year before its launch.
A very unbelievable rumor
Regarding the specifications, it is said that the console will support 4K resolution via Nvidia DLSS, being very similar to the specifications of PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X, although would stand as a portable console.
Having said all the above, the truth is that what is commented in this report is, to say the least, very unrealistic. First of all, the battle for the best graphics is something Nintendo has disengaged from, while losing all potential users and buyers of the Nintendo Switch and its games is a very bad idea. Time will tell but not that it is very reliable.
