Nintendo has been given the task of renewing the registration a couple of brands. This time, documents have been found with the names of Duck Hunt, Excitebots, Happy Home Paradise, Mario Strikers and Super mario land.
According to Gematsu, Nintendo and SEGA carried out a series of searches during the last days. In the case of the Big N, classic series that we have not seen in decades, have renewed their license. As always, This does not mean that the Japanese company is planning a new installment or something like that. This process is just one way to protect your properties.
For its part, SEGA trademarked the Sega Sapporo Studio name, so it has been speculated that the company intends to open a new studio in Hokkaido. However, at the moment there is nothing official about it. In related issues, issues have been reported with N64 games on Nintendo Switch Online.
Editor’s Note:
While it would be great to have a new Duck Hunt or Mario Strikers game, this is most likely not the case. Perhaps the NES classic will come to the Switch Online service. We can only wait and see if any plan may be in motion.
