Users of the instant messaging platform WhatsApp they have a new update adding an extra time to delete sent messages that at the moment will only be available for the Beta versions of iOs and Android.
The most popular instant messaging company worldwide, announcement that users they now have just over two days after sending a message to delete itinstead of just an hour as it was previously.
How do you get this function?
For access to the new update, the user must open a group of WhatsApp or the individual chat where you sent the messages. The user needs to make sure to long press on the content they want to get rid of, click “Delete” and then select “Delete for everyone” or “Delete for me”.
Users before starting a wave of elimination should take into account that there is a small limitation: all recipients must have updated the latest version of whatsapp so you can actually have access to delete sent messages after two days, and you won’t actually get a notification if the message was deleted or not.
New features?
Indeed this new update could be a useful new feature that can help WhatsApp to gain a slight edge over Apple’s iMessage instant messaging service. After all, Apple doesn’t offer this capability yet and will only do so when its new operating systems are released for iPhone, iPad and Mac, which is possibly this fall of 2022.
However, for now the beta version of iOS 16 it only gives users two minutes to log out, and only as long as the recipients have also downloaded the beta version. Which is a big disadvantage while the new version of iOS arrives to Apple users.
