ohLine 5 of the Trolleybus in Reforma began operations! Since last December 19, this new route can already be used by the general public, having the great advantage of connecting 5 of its stations with 11 of Line 7 of the Metrobús.
The Electric Transportation System reported that the new line will run through Paseo de la Reforma and its operating hours will be from 06:00 to 10:00 and from 18:00 to 22:00. In other words, the intention is to relieve the Metrobús during the busiest hours in which thousands of workers use this public transport.
The new route of the Trolleybus in Reforma does not completely cover the avenue, the section goes from Calzada de los Misterios in Gustavo A. Madero to Hamburgo, in the Cuauhtémoc mayor’s office.
One of the great points in favor of the Reforma Trolleybus is that the route has fewer stations than the Metrobús, which is why we are talking about an express service. If a person has to travel the entire stretch on the Trolebús, they will do so in less time than if they did it on the Metrobús, since there are fewer stops.
To start the service, the Government of Mexico City had 15 state-of-the-art units. The cost is $4.00 per individual trip.
