In great news for the entire PUBG: NEW STATE gaming community, KRAFTON, Inc. has recently announced that its January update for PUBG: NEW STATE is now available on Android and iOS. With this update comes the release of the new BR: Extreme mode, which limits the number of players in a match to 64 (vs. BR: Original which has 100 players) and limits each round to 20 minutes.
Something we find quite curious is that, currently available on the game’s Troi map, BR: Extreme mode is still firmly set in the battle royale genre, but it’s designed to get players into the action (and earn Chicken Dinners). ) as quickly as possible to increase the intensity of each game.
The January update also introduces the Rimac Nevera car in collaboration with Bugatti Rimac, the new P90 weapon, new weapon customization options, and much more. Below is a full rundown of the main features added to the game with the January update.
New mode – BR: Extreme: A new experience developed and optimized for mobile gaming, each 20-minute round is limited to 64 players. In this mode, the battlefield is restricted to a smaller playable area (4×4) within the Troi map, which will be randomly chosen and will change each match. All survivors start with a P1911 pistol, a smoke grenade, 300 drone credits, and fully charged boost gauges.
At the start of the match, two supply crates will drop in random locations, allowing players to stock up on higher-end gear before the match. Some additional features included in this new battle royale experience are:
- Increased number of vehicles and items throughout Troi, allowing players to loot more quickly.
- Survivors will parachute from a lower height in order to land on the map as quickly as possible.
- Delivery drones will arrive faster, allowing players to get hold of items more quickly.
- The wait time before a teammate can be redeployed has been shortened to 60 seconds.
New vehicle – Rimac Refrigerator: The January update also kicks off PUBG: NEW STATE’s partnership with Bugatti Rimac, as players can hop into the world’s fastest production car, the Rimac Nevera, and test drive it across the Troi map.
A limited-duration Rimac box has been introduced, containing several exclusive in-game items, such as the Rimac Refrigerator in five color variants, including Refrigerator Blue, Gunpowder Grey, Prism Glow, Sunburst Red, and Lumious Gold.
New Season and Survival Pass: Officially kicking off after a two-month pre-season, Season 1 introduces eight new tiers – from Bronze to Conqueror – that players can traverse. As players progress through each level, they will earn various rewards such as chicken medals and weapon skins.
Also available is Survivor Pass Vol. 3, centered around in-game character Ben Brown, who is part of the Great Lakes Coalition (GLC) faction. Players will be able to complete quests to earn various rewards and items, exploring all of the PUBG: NEW STATE lore.
New Weapon – P90: This SMG, which will appear in supply packs on battlefields, will come with a standard tier-2 transforming scope and suppressor, but cannot be modified with any other attachments. It uses 5.7mm ammo, which can now be purchased through the drone store.
New Weapon Customizations: With the DP-28’s new muzzle slot, players can now attach a Flash Hider (AR/DMR) or Compensator (AR/DMR) to the DP-28’s weapon. However, when using any of these attachments, the weapon’s damage will be slightly reduced.
Players can also attach the Light Stock to the Beryl M762 to reduce bullet spread when fired from the hip or shoulder, while also increasing ADS velocity. Weapon stability will be affected when using this accessory. The PUBG: NEW STATE January update is now available for Android and iOS users.
