The new one Fortnite Season 8 has brought with it a good handful of additions, such as the new weapons or the map changes. This article is going to deal with the latter, and it is important to know the different changes and additions to know what to expect from visits to the island.
In this new season, in addition to the most obvious changes (the points of interest), there are a couple of very important details that you should know, both to be able to move through certain new areas such as “dynamic places“that will change in each game you play.
All changes to the Fortnite Chapter 2 map in Season 8
The most obvious changes are the two new sights: Cultivos Corrientes and Laguna Lodosa. These two places replace the Corriente Complex and the Sticky Swamp, respectively, and Sacred Seedlings have once again given way to Sacred Hedges.
If you look at the image above, you can see how several “orange” areas have appeared all over the map. In these orange areas there are several new consumables (minicubes to become invisible), although the most interesting are the tunnels of light.
These tunnels will allow you to move quickly through the area, and it seems that they will have an extra importance when making rotations. In addition to this, it will also appear in each game randomly a kind of dome that will be marked on the map.
In these domes you will find some new items, such as parallel weapons, as well as some aggressive NPCs. It will be interesting to see how these types of zones affect the game, and it is that the booty that can be achieved in such areas is especially good.
In addition, there are a total of 3 gigantic cubes scattered around the map that, presumably, will move over the weeks. As of this writing, the purple cube is located to the northwest of Parque Placentero, the golden cube east of Sacred Hedges and the blue east of Campo Calígine, when crossing a small bridge.
