Over the weekend, NVIDIA was the target of a cyber hit that has resulted in a series of massive leaks. Among all that has come to light, several fans found a series of clues that have revived rumors of a nintendo switchpro, and they could even point to the successor of this console.
As these leaks became known, dataminers like NWPlayer123 uncovered a number of clues that point more to an enhanced, or Pro, version of the Switch, rather than an entirely new console from Nintendo. This reached the point that words like “Switch Pro” and “Switch 2” became a trend on Twitter.. This was what was said about it:
“NVIDIA leaks have ‘nvn2’, which appears to be the graphics API for the Switch Pro, based on Ampere with ray tracing and DLSS 2.2 support…
There are also references to T234/T239, so this leak checks out
Even more evidence that it’s a delayed Switch Pro and not a next-gen platform, especially since the president said the Switch is halfway through its life.”

It is important to mention that these are just speculations, and at the moment there is no information from NVIDIA or Nintendo. Considering that the president of the Japanese company has mentioned that the Switch is in the middle of its life cycle, it is very likely that this leak is related to the rumored Pro model.
Along with this, Nintendo is always working on new technologies of all kinds, so this information could well refer to their research, and doesn’t necessarily mean something new is on the way. However, let us remember that the last time that NVIDIA suffered from a leak of this type was last year, where games such as the remaster of Chrono Chross, God of War on PC and more, and some of this information has come true.
On related topics, emulation for N64 games on Nintendo Switch Online has been improved. Similarly, the Big N has no plans to offer classic content beyond this service.
Editor’s note:
It’s obvious that Nintendo is working on a new console, this shouldn’t come as a surprise. However, considering the resounding success of the Switch, the Japanese company is in no hurry to reveal this information. Perhaps a Switch Pro will be a reality in a couple of years, but we are still far from seeing a direct successor to this platform.
