The Secretariat of Infrastructure, Communications and Transportation (SICT) reported the completion of the Ayutla de los Libres-Acatepec highway, section San José la Hacienda-Encino Amarrillo, which will benefit 8,148 inhabitants of three municipalities and neighboring communities on the Costa Chica de Guerrero.
According to what was communicated, it is a work carried out with a vision of social justice, since it improves the living conditions of isolated populations. Said work is added to five more highways and thirty-nine labor roads already completed in the Mountain of Guerrero.
The new Ayutla de los libres-Acatepec highway has an extension of 28 km and had an investment of 272 million pesos.
In addition to improving the connection between communities, it will also allow better access to the state capital, while bringing schools, health centers, workplaces, commercial establishments, and families closer together,” reported Jorge Nuño Lara, head of the SICT, before President Andrés Manuel López Obrador and the governor of the entity, Evelyn Cesia Salgado Pineda.
Additionally, Nuño Lara reported that the Ayutla de los Libres-Acatepec road, in its section that runs from San José La Hacienda-Encino Amarillo, will allow time savings of 40 minutes, going from 1:30 to 50 minutes on the route. The work generated 997 direct jobs and 3,988 indirect jobs.
Other works that have already been completed for the benefit of Guerrero are:
- The Acapulco Bypass Highway
- The roads TlapaMarquelia
- Lucerito-Tlacoapa
- Amuzgos area with its Santa Catarina Bridge
- Las Cruces-Pinotepa Nacional in the Cayaco-San Marcos section
- The paving of 39 labor paths in the Mountain of Guerrero
In total, all these works add up to 1,000 km of new roads and have an investment of 14 billion pesos. In total, they will benefit 1.2 million inhabitants of Guerrero and improve access for locals and tourists.
