The anticipation for the upcoming release of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, the latest installment in the annual Call of Duty franchise, is mounting. Last week, Activision released a trailer confirming their plans to release Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 on June 8. Apparently, the teaser was just the beginning of Activision’s preparation for the event.
Now, a new live-action video has been shared in which the comedian Pete Davidson appears parodying the teaser of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. In the video, Pete Davidson is sitting in the same transport vehicle used in the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 teaser. He is surrounded by members of Task Force 141, some of the most popular characters from previous Modern games. Warfare.
Among them are Ghost, Captain Price, Gaz, Soap, and newcomer Alejandro Vargas. Captain Price says that Davidson is there because he vouches for him, but Davidson makes it clear that he probably shouldn’t be involved. Davidson is immediately recognized as out of place. He wears what looks like a bicycle helmet with a flower on it, as well as a tie-dyed tank top.
While the others in the vehicle are well armed and practicing safe weapon handling, Davidson has a rocket launcher and shows a clear misunderstanding of how it works. He also jokes with the other members of Task Force 141 about bringing snacks, but is unwilling to share them. Ghost, in particular, seems to be unhappy with the snacks.
The 40-second video is a fun ad designed to create anticipation for the presentation of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 on June 8, just like previous live-action Call of Duty videos with celebrity cameos. In the original trailer, Task Force 141 is shown preparing for battle and then exits the vehicle firing.
In short, there is nothing new to discover in Pete Davidson’s video. For Call of Duty fans waiting for more information on Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, they will have to wait until June 8 for more official information to be released.
