A NetherRealm Studios producer could have “leaked” that they are working on Mortal Kombat 12, Well, in a photograph published on their social networks we can see a clue to the next game in the most gory series of fights in video games. The producer in question is Jonathan Anderson, who posted a photo of his desk with Mortal Kombat materials, and a hint of the next installment on his monitor.
Producer Jonathan Andersen posted a photo of Mortal Kombat, Mortal Kombat II, and Injustice 2 art on his desk, but manages to show a portion of his monitor with a file that reads “MK12_Mast…”. Although this might seem like an oversight, fans believe that NetherRealm Studios made this leak intentionally.

The part of the monitor that is visible in Andersen’s photo shows a very curious email, which could indicate that the leak is actually a planned move. In the email in question we see a reference to a video that they should not share, as their fans scrape the internet for any clue of a new Mortal Kombat. “Take extra care with this material“, He says.
The photograph in question was deleted after 10 minutes to have been published, but at that time Mortal Kombat fans managed to save the image to analyze it for clues, just as the email said. However, there don’t seem to be any other clues in the image, so we’ll have to wait until an official confirmation from NetherRealm.

In August of last year we reported that NetherRealm would already be working on Mortal Kombat 12, despite the fact that the gaming community expected another installment of Injustice. Apparently the reason behind this is that there is uncertainty surrounding Warner Bros. Games and DC Comics licensing, which may have caused NetherRealm Studios to decide to work on MK12 first.
