Manolo Caro, creator of ‘La casa de las Flores’, is already finalizing the launch of his new series for Netflix. The platform has unveiled the official trailer of ‘Once upon a time… but not anymore’, the musical miniseries whose premiere is scheduled for March 11.
Yatra, from singer to actor
The singer Sebastián Yatra is the main claim —and seeing the trailer is not that we have much to hold on to— of this fiction that tells the story of two lovers who were tragically separated and who must meet in another life to break the spell that fell on the eccentric town they inhabit.
But Yatra is not the only singer in the cast, as the series also includes the presence of Nia and Monica Maranillo. Rossy de Palma, Asier Etxeandía, Mariola Fuentes, Itziar Castro, Daniela Vega and Mariana Treviño complete the main cast.
‘Once upon a time… but no longer’ is proclaimed as the first musical series on Netflix Spain. Fiction will cover some of the classic themes of Spanish and Latin American pop and rock. In Caro’s words:
“It is the anti-fairy tale, a reinvention with the current thinking of society, moving us away from false ideas about happiness and what we were told love is. Using comedy and music as the main tools, we will enter a hilarious love story in a distant kingdom of Spain”.
