Netflix it is one of the most popular services of the moment, and even essential for some. One of the biggest attractions is its price, since it is quite accessible to the public. Nevertheless, recently it was announced that the subscription cost has increased in Mexico.
Unlike the last increase, which was related to a 16% VAT tax, this price change is due to the fact that Netflix seeks to offer better quality content, and needs the necessary funds. Although the basic plan continues to keep its $ 139 pesos per month, it is in the other two options where we find the changes.
To start, the standard package goes from $ 196 pesos per month to $ 219. Similarly, the premium subscription has increased from $ 266 pesos to $ 299 pesos per month. This is something that probably plays an important role when deciding which package the user continues to pay for. Regarding its application date, these changes came into effect on November 1.
On related topics, Netflix has started its games division, and here you can learn more about it.
Editor’s Note:
Although the basic plan has not been modified, the other two options will probably decrease in users after these changes. Now we can only wait and see if this increase has positive results and we see an increase in the quality of the series and movies available on this platform.
