Drukmann trades Ellie and Joel for a day and goes off to live the pirate life.
Today it is not entirely uncommon for some games to have cameos by important personalities of the industrylike the brief appearance of Geoff Keighley in Death Stranding for being a friend of Hideo Kojima, but nobody could have expected that Neil Druckmann, creator of The Last of Us, had a cameo in Return to Monkey Island. Ron Gilbert’s game was finally released this week for PC and Nintendo Switch.
Apparently, Neil Druckmann is a big fan of the Monkey Island series and one way or another, the creator got a chance to participate in the game. It is difficult to find his cameo, but the credits do not lie. Neil Druckmann voices one of the secondary characters of the game.
From firefly to pirate
Through an article Eurogamerwe were able to discover the meaning of a series of tweets that Neil Druckmann recently posted about Return to Monkey Island. It turns out that the director of Naughty Dog appears referenced in the credits, although at no time was his collaboration with the game officially promoted or promoted. Although he did post on his Twitter account about it, but no one noticed.
Apparently, Druckmann voices one of the pirates of Guybrush’s crew. “He who knows, knows”comments the creative on his social networks while sending his gratitude to various managers of Lucasfilm Games.
If you know, you know.

Return to Monkey Island is now available for PC and Nintendo Switch, thirteen years after the last release in the franchise, which was Telltale Games’ adventure series. To see the last game from its original creators, you have to go back to the year 200, when Escape from Monkey Island was published. It is to be hoped that it will later reach PlayStation and Xbox consoles.
