The International Space Station NASA (ISS)In addition to being a scientific laboratory in the middle of the Earth's orbit, it is one of the best places to capture photographs of our world and the Moon.
Astronauts who are fortunate enough to travel to the spacecraft have a camera with them to record landscapes that most people do not have access to. There are few who have a way to verify that the Earth is round and whenever they can they capture it in images that remain in the history of those of us who are enthusiasts of astronomical topics.
The Instagram account Spacerocxspecialists in space matters, publish a surprising photo taken from the International Space Station. In the capture you can see the curvature of the Earth imposing itself in the foreground, to serve as an ornament for the Moon, which can be seen in all its splendor in the background. The image leaves you speechless, as it shows how immense and at the same time tiny we are, in the endless terrain of the Solar System, the galaxy and the entire Universe.
It is not the first time that we show photographic captures of the Earth, seen from NASA's ISS. We recently told you that there is an app in the Google Play Store where you can see the planet in real time, thanks to a camera installed on the spacecraft that transmits 24 hours a day.
The application is called ISS Live Now: Earth live and can be downloaded from any cell phone or tablet, through the Google Play Store. It's simply impressive. In addition to showing you a unique view of the Earth, it also gives you a snapshot of where it is passing so you can identify the region of the world where the ISS transits.
In the same description of the Google Play Store app they report that they recently added video downloading and the ISS Tour, which runs with Google Street View.
