Once upon a time there was a rejected boy who dreamed of reaching the top. Following in his father’s footsteps, Naruto Uzumaki wanted to one day become Hogake, the shinobi. most powerful in the village, and thus he would finally earn the respect of his people. A saga that at the beginning of the millennium was positioned as one of the three modern pillars of the shōnenattracting millions of fans throughout Latin America.

About the franchise
The saga has its origins in the manga of the same name written and illustrated by Masashi Kishimoto, which was serialized in the magazine Weekly Shōnen Jump between 1999 and 2014. The publisher Shūeisha compiled the story in a total of 72 volumes: the first 27 are set in our protagonist’s pre-adolescence, while the remaining 45 take place during his youth.
All productions of its popular anime adaptation have been developed by Pierrot studio (bleach). The animated universe of the original story was made up of two series that together totaled 720 episodes; eleven films and numerous OVAs. Likewise, the work inspired mangas spin-offnovelizations, video games, plays, and countless merchandise.
In May 2016, Shueisha launched the sequel manga Boruto: Naruto Next Generations, focusing on Boruto Uzumaki, the firstborn of Naruto and Hinata Hyūga. Initially, Kishimoto was limited to supervising the setting of the work, but starting with chapter 52 published in April 2021, the creator of the iconic ninja saga formally assumed the writing of the scripts from him. The story hit the small screen in 2017.

naruto (2002 – 2007)
Uzumaki Naruto is an outcast child in the ninja village where he lives. Inside him resides the power of a beast that was on the verge of destroying the town years ago, the Kyubi, the nine-tailed fox, which makes no one want to approach him because they consider him cursed. Despite his loneliness and his sadness, he wants to be a ninja, but not just any one: he wants to be Hokage, the leader of the village. Along the way, his convictions will attract many friends and fellow travelers.
Part I of naruto adapted the first 238 chapters of Masashi Kishimoto’s original manga. Production ended with a total of 220 episodes broadcast between 2002 and 2007.

Naruto: Shippūden (2007 – 2017)
Naruto wants to be the best ninja on earth. The action begins after the two and a half years that our protagonist has spent training with his teacher Jiraiya. In it all the characters from the previous series reappear, but with more experience and strength. Furthermore, the Akatsuki Organization comes into action, after its brief appearance in the previous part, and its objectives are revealed.
Part II of naruto adapted the rest of the story seen in Kishimoto’s print. Shippūden It concluded with 500 episodes broadcast between 2007 and 2017.

Boruto: Naruto Next Generations (2017 – ongoing)
In Konoha they have entered an era of peace and modernity. Tall buildings stand out on the streets, giant screens show images of all kinds and means of transportation connect the various districts. Although it is still a ninja village, the number of civilians has increased and the life of the ninja has changed. Boruto is the son of the Seventh Hokage, Naruto Uzumaki, and has joined the Ninja Academy to learn. Other students immediately belittle him and consider that he is only there because he is “the Hokage’s son”, but soon Boruto will dispel all those doubts about him.
The sequel that introduces the new generation of ninjas from the Hidden Leaf Village began airing in April 2017 and already has 239 episodes.

Naruto: Chronology and where to watch the movies
The work has inspired 11 films to date: the first three are located in the chronology of the classic series; the subsequent seven in Shippūden and the last one within Boruto.
Most of them are self-contained stories that offer filler adventures, so they are not mandatory viewing to enjoy the rest of the franchise. However, there are a couple of exceptions: Naruto The Movie: The Last (2014) and Boruto: The Movie (2015). Both had a strong participation by Masashi Kishimoto and are considered part of the official canon.
Naruto The Movie: Ninja Battle in the Land of Snow (2004)
Naruto and his team are on a mission to monitor Yukie Fujikaze, a popular actress who stars in the hit movie ‘The Adventures of Princess Gale’.

Naruto The Movie: The Legend of the Gelel Stone (2005)
Naruto, Shikamaru and Sakura are about to return a lost ferret to its owner when a young knight, Temujin, attacks them. Suddenly, they find themselves drawn into a fierce fight for a treasure that holds a legendary power: the stone of Gelel.

Naruto The Movie: Guardians of the Crescent Moon Kingdom (2006)
Naruto, Sakura and Kakashi join Rock Lee to protect Prince Michiru and his son Hikaru as they return home to the Crescent Moon Kingdom. It all seems to be easy enough, until the royal family becomes a real pain!
