MY.GAMES invests 3.5 million euros in The Breach Studios, a Spanish studio based in Barcelona focused on games for PC and consoles. This is the first action of this type carried out by MY.GAMES in our country, in this case with the aim of continuing to expand internationally.
From what we have seen in the official documentation, The Breach Studios was founded in June 2018. The team is made up of around 20 people and has people who have previously worked at Ubisoft, Gameloft or Take-Two Interactive on games. such as Assassin’s Creed IV Black Flag, Gray or Bionic Commando, to give a few examples.
Currently, the studio is working on The Harvest, a class-based multiplayer hero shooter set in a sci-fi universe. You can see a trailer right here:
For its part, MY.GAMES is a company belonging to the Russian company Mail.ru Group. The investment of 3.5 million euros in The Breach Studio will be carried out through MY.GAMES Venture Capital (MGVC), which has previously invested in another 40 studios, 12 of them during 2020.
The objective, according to the official statement, is to continue with its international expansion, in this case reaching Spain, and expand its catalog of games for PC and consoles.
Currently, under MY.GAMES, we can find games for PC, consoles and mobiles, including titles such as Warface, Skyforge or Conqueror’s Blade, to name a few.
