As a report published on the website of Gizmodothis device is strapped to the head, but is placed over the wearer’s mouth.
Inside the mutalk is a microphone and Bluetooth hardware that picks up the user’s voice and transmits it wirelessly to other devices, such as a smartphone or game console.
Difference with other wireless microphones
Shiftall’s website explains that the mutalk is a universal Bluetooth microphone, so it can be used in Windows, Mac or connected to a smartphone.
It differs from other microphones in that it takes sounds from the user’s mouth and contains them, reducing the intensity of high-frequency voices by approximately 30 decibels.
The mutalk automatically detects when it is being used and starts transmitting via Bluetooth, so if the user is having a conversation on the phone or with someone next to them, it will be silent.
mu talk it will have a battery that will allow it to be in use for 10 hours and its connection will be USB-C. It’s not available in stores yet, but it’s expected to be priced close to $140. Is it worth paying that amount for a microphone that mutes you?
