The open beta of multiverse kicks off next week, as starting Tuesday, July 26, all players will be able to jump in to try out this new Super Smash Bros.-style fighting game featuring Warner Bros. characters. However, some players have been able to play since this week and They report that Taz needs to be nerfed.
Players who participated in the closed alpha test, who won codes with Twitch drops, and who purchased the Founders Pack (priced between $40 and $100) can participate in the Multiversus beta before it opens to the public, thanks to which we have been able to see several videos of the game these days, although most seem to focus on Taz.

For days now, players have been testing the Multiversus characters to find out their weaknesses and strengths, but it is clear that Taz is OP (overpowered), specifically his movement with which he spins like a tornado. This move can be performed on the ground or in the air and is about Taz’s signature way of moving.
Since the move has no cooldown to do it again and only a few attacks can cancel it, which has caused many players to use Taz to abuse this move and frustrate the rest of the players. Some players say it’s possible to get around the attack with enough skill, but the devs may decide to nerf Taz soon.
Game director Tony Huynh has already acknowledged the issue, saying via his Twitter account that they are aware of the Taz issue in Multiversus and are testing with different settings. However, Huynh says that there is no estimated date for such a patch.
