Ms Marvel was recently presented at Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) in his own series broadcast on Disney+ and all the easter eggs pointed to the house of ideas planning to adapt her as a mutant.
It’s hard to know what Marvel Entertainment is up to for all of its products with Kamala Khan, a character who has stolen hearts since her live-action adaptation. However, the origin of the comics marks that she is an inhuman, not a mutant.
Despite his natural origin, in the comics he has allied himself with one of the most popular X-Men in pop culture: Wolverine. He has done it in Ms. Marvel & Wolverine #1an interesting crossover that has both superheroes as protagonists.
In that first number, Kamala has revealed the secret of the X-Men’s teamworkwho with their wide range of powers and a huge list of mutants have been able to face different types of enemies.
The secret of the X-Men
Kamala teams up with Logan to save the X-Men’s New York headquarters from a devastating attack, and she sees exactly how Earth’s mutants work together.
In Ms. Marvel & Wolverine #1, written by Jody Howser with art by Ze Carlos, Ms. Marvel arrives at the X-Men’s treehouse in Manhattan only to find a swarm of deadly metallic bugs threatening the facility. Kamala does what she can, but her powers aren’t enough to defeat the first drone and it flies right into Wolverine’s shoulder.
Fortunately, the X-Men come up with a strategy: Wolverine cuts the drone off his arm, Jean Gray imprisons him in a psychic bubble, and the mighty Rogue rips him to shreds.
“That teamwork… It’s like they know what the others need them to do”says a surprised Ms. Marvel.
Kamala witnesses just one of the X-Men’s many pitched battles and immediately learns the secret to the X-Men’s success. Not only have they fought alongside each other for many years, but there are plenty of telepathic mutants on the team. Jean Grey, Emma Frost, Exodus and many more have powerful mental abilities that would allow precise coordination without having to waste time giving orders.
