Ubisoft has revealed that Rainbow Six Siege has a new crossover with Ricky and Morty, which will bring a new character cosmetic pack for Ace that will allow players to dress up as Mr Meeseeks. This new event will mark Rainbow Six Siege’s second collaboration with the series, as last year there was a similar crossover with two different packs that introduced Gromflomite and Pickle Rick cosmetics to the shooter.
Although known for its strict tactical gameplay with established characters, Rainbow Six Siege has a history of crossovers and signature events. Ubisoft started adding special events to Rainbow Six Siege as part of Year 4, and has since released a handful, the most recent being the Halloween-themed event Doktor’s Curse. Major crossovers kicked off in 2019 with the Money Heist event, which featured a remake of the Hostage game mode with red jumpsuits and skins from the Netflix series. This was followed by the Tomb Raider set which introduced a classic Lara Croft inspired skin for Ash and the addition of two popular Elite character skins from the Resident Evil series, Leon Kennedy and Jill Valentine exclusively for operators Lion and Zofia. .
The team of Rainbow Six Siege has announced that it has partnered with rick and morty to release another pack of themed cosmetics. Fans can now enjoy the Mr. Meeseeks bundle. The new Elite skin for Ace covers the operator from head to toe in a blue bodysuit that has the face of Mr Meeseeks imprinted on the head
Although the skin of Mr Meeseeks appears to be generally different from the usual tone of Rainbow Six Siege, the crossover continues to capture the comedic spirit of Ricky and Morty. This new batch of content is the latest in a line of exclusive packs, and Ubisoft has more cosmetic packs up its sleeve for the upcoming Year 7 of Rainbow Six Siege. Details of these additions are currently unknown, as the online shooter’s next season schedule has yet to be announced.
Inspirations in Fortnite are starting to appear in more multiplayer titles like Rainbow Six Siege. Other Ubisoft properties like Assassin’s Creed or Rayman represented with character skins in Rainbow Six Siege and other games could be possible in the future. Although Ubisoft has said that a sequel to Siege isn’t necessary, Rainbow Six Extraction is the newest entry in the series and it’s likely only a matter of time before more crossovers are introduced in the latest installment.
