Motomami! Everything is almost ready for the Rosalía concert in the Zócalo in Mexico City. Therefore, the Government of Mexico Citythrough the Government Secretariats (SECGOB), Comprehensive Risk Management and Civil Protection (SGIRPC) and Culture, released a series of safety recommendations for those attending the concert of the Spanish singer-songwriter. Rosalía’s concert will take place this Friday, April 28, at 8:00 p.m., in the Zócalo.
Attendees were called upon to be aware that this is a massive event, so they must be patient at all times, especially at the entrances and exits, in order to avoid stampedes. Remember that it is essential not to push at any time.
Access and transportation for the Rosalía concert (Metro and Metrobús):
The accesses will be to the Plaza de la Constitución will be the avenues 20 de Noviembre and Pino Suárez. There will be filters to guarantee the safety of the attendees. If you want to be in the front row, it is recommended to arrive 5 hours before the concert.
For attendees in public transport, the Metro reported that the service will be extended for another hour on Lines 2, 3, 8, 9, and B; and on the Balderas-Observatorio section of Line 1. Therefore, the Metro will operate until 1 AM on Saturday, April 20.
Regarding closures, the Zócalo-Tenochtitlán and Allende stations of Line 2 will remain closed from 12 PM. The closest stations to the concert will be Pino Suárez and Bellas Artes.
The Metrobús Line 4 service will operate with the following modifications from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 a.m.:
North Route: Circuit from Buenavista to San Lázaro and from Hidalgo to Pantitlán/Alameda Oriente
South Route: Circuit from San Pablo to San Lázaro
There will be no service from Buenavista to Pino Suárez
Service to Mexico City International Airport (AICM) will be normal from San Lázaro
What to and what not to bring to the Rosalía concert
The Government of Mexico City calls not to bring sharp objects, chairs or bulky objects, glass containers, cans, coolers, aerosols, laser beams, drones and fireworks, not to carry alcoholic beverages, take care of your valuables and not lose any view to minors. It is also recommended to establish meeting points in case you are separated from friends and family; since during massive events it is common that there is no cell phone signal.
It is recommended to attend with comfortable shoes and clothing, waterproof and binoculars. To avoid accidents, it is requested not to carry umbrellas, backpacks whose weight could cause falls or elements that block visibility.
Regarding assistance with infants, the following recommendation was established:
“Families who come with girls and boys are recommended to enjoy the concert from the 18 screens located in nearby streets: six screens will be located on November 20; six in Pino Suárez; two screens on 5 de Mayo and four on Avenida Juárez.”
Medical aspects for a massive event
Regarding the medical situation, it is recommended to carry a security or identification card that includes: name, blood type, telephone number, if you suffer from allergies or if you take specialized medications.
In addition, it is important to check the weather conditions and stay constantly hydrated; wear appropriate clothing according to the weather forecast, and eat food in established places to avoid gastrointestinal diseases.
