What is it about?
Bobby triumphs with his LGBT+-themed podcast and, in addition, promotes the creation of the first museum with the same theme in the entire United States. He does not believe in the possibility of having a stable relationship with someone, because he feels that his group already has too much with the daily struggle to be happy. Suddenly at a party he meets Aaron, a muscular man who is fond of polyamory. Even when they are polar opposites, an attraction arises between them that they cannot deny. Will Aaron’s charm be enough for Bobby to rethink his limits and what he thinks about love?
Who participates in Bros: More than friends?
The film stars billy eichner (Parks and Recreation), who became the first openly gay man to star in and co-write a movie for a major studio in Hollywood: UniversalPictures. luke macfarlane (Brothers & Sisters) plays Aaron, her new love interest. Originally, it was thought that the character could be played by a recognized heterosexual actor, but the idea was discarded as it was thought to go against the message of the film. The cast is completed by Monica Raymund, Jim Rash, Dot-Marie Jones, Ts Madison and Guillermo Díaz.
The direction of the tape is provided by Nicholas Stoller (good neighbours), who co-wrote the script with Eichner. Both acknowledge having taken inspiration from classics such as Pretty Woman, Hot Dance Y When Harry met Sally. The successful Judd Apatow serves as one of the producers.
