The event on September 14 has been confirmed as all the bets pointed out, but that does not mean that the rumors have stopped arriving. PineLeaks recently launched a thread on Twitter with what he thinks we’re going to see at that event, including details that until now had not been clarified.
There will be autonomy improvements on all devices
First of all, the iPhone 13. The source believes that the autonomy of the 6m1-inch models (the iPhone 13 and the iPhone 13 Pro) will grow by 10%. The iPhone mini will have one more hour of endurance, while the substantial increase in autonomy we will see on the Pro Max model with 18-20% larger battery. The consequence of this is that all models will weigh slightly more than their current equivalents.
The Pro models would also adopt a ProMotion screen like the iPad Pro running at 120Hz (that would increase power consumption, by the way). Cameras will capture up to 40% more light, notably improving the night mode and launching a new mode in which the stars in the sky can be detected. We will also have a new cinematic mode to record movies that will try to keep a person always in the center of the shot. We will have to wait to see more details of this, because it sounds like the Center Stage function of the iPad Pro.
PineLeaks is betting that The AirPods 3 will also be presented next Tuesday, and also with an autonomy improvement of 20% in its charging case. This time the wireless charging of that case would no longer be an option, if not something of series. Regarding the sound, an improvement in the bass is mentioned.
Finally we will have improvements also in the autonomy of the Apple Watch Series 7, “the first notable ones since the original launch of the Apple Watch” according to the source. The redesign of this watch should leave more space to house a larger battery, surely.
