Thanks to a fan-made Reddit post, we think we know who Khonshu really is in Moon Knight.
On Wednesday, the second chapter of Moon Knight premiered on Disney Plus. This chapter showed us much more about the history of Marc Spector and Khonshu, very relevant characters in the series. The plot turned into a kind of constant adaptation of the main character and we were able to guess a lot more about the history of Khonshu, the Egyptian moon god. This god had his quarrels with the villain of the series, Arthur Harrow.
Arthur Harrow mentions during the chapter that he was the former bearer of Khonshu, which is seen much more in this second chapter. This fact, which we still do not know if it is true or not, gives us quite a few details about what the Egyptian gods are and how they work. We can also see that Marc Spector ends up staying as “holder” of the body of Steven Grant.
Now thanks to a Reddit post we have been able to guess how it really works Khonshū. And it is that the story in the comics is far from what we are seeing in the series. The series at the end of the day has to adapt to the rhythms.
According to the user AstroDunce Jake Lockely’s existence would change everything we know about the series. If Marc Spector wears the Moon Knight suit and Steven Grant wears the Mr. Knight suit, what happens to Khonshu when Marc transforms?
The answer would be in the appearance of Jack Lockely, a character that has not been confirmed at the moment or of whom we have seen anything. But it could be that when this character appeared it was really Khonshu who adapts the form of a human. We have seen it in some chapter in the background, but who knows if we will see it.
