Microsoft Flight Simulator has one of the most impressive technologies of recent years, the Asobo Studio team has achieved impressive graphical fidelity thanks to combining Bing maps with an algorithm that recreates the terrain in 3D and, of course, modeling close to cities and emblematic places of the geography from all over the world. Even so, it is still an aeronautical simulator, so it may not be entirely fun for the vast majority of players. That is why one modder has decided to implement Mario Kart 8 circuits and have a great time with the airplanes.
In the end, Microsoft Flight Simulator bases its experience on flying commercial or recreational flights around different parts of the world, but without going too crazy or “arcade” in its proposal or controls, so Illogicoma thought about whether it was possible to introduce Mario maps Kart 8 in the game. As we see on its official Twitter page, it is possible and it also seems fun.
So anyway I thought mario kart 8 tracks would also be fun when you play them in flight simulator so I put mario kart 8 tracks in flight simulator and played them and it was true. pic.twitter.com/Gbn5kRfg92

To be able to implement classic Mario Kart circuits such as Mount Wario, Cloudtop Cruise, Moo Moo Meadows or Rainbow Road, Illogicoma It has used the Blender “Blender2MSFS” add-on, allowing a limited interaction, but it serves, at least, to offer the challenge of going through each of the circles of the circuit.
Those responsible for Microsoft Flight Simulator know that to keep the attention of the players and call new users, the experience has to be able to go beyond simple commercial flights, therefore, at Gamescom 2021 they announced a new game mode where you can do races with airplanes.
