Mitsubishi has unveiled a major new concept model. The Mitsubishi XFC Concept has burst onto the scene with the aim of showing the world a preview of the new SUV that the Japanese manufacturer has been working on. The XFC concept car lays the foundations for an SUV that will hit the market before 2025.
In recent months the Mitsubishi brand has been working on an important novelty. A project to which we must pay close attention since it lays the foundations for a future series production vehicle that will eventually reach dealerships. Far from the European borders, the new Mitsubishi XFC Concept, a conceptual model that anticipates a new generation SUV.
The recent release of the Mitsubishi ASX 2023 symbolizes the new strategy that the company has set for the European market. However, beyond the Old Continent, Mitsubishi continues to develop its own products. And the new XFC Concept is the clear example that the machinery of the colossus of the Japanese automotive industry is up and running and working at full capacity.
Mitsubishi XFC Concept, an SUV that exudes personality
The new XFC Concept features a robust yet modern look. At all times it is made clear that it is a conceptual model. In the front we will find some characteristic optical groups that go slightly into the grill. The bulging bumper guards add strength. The same goes for the raised position of the hood.
The side view, in addition to some wheels that do not go unnoticed, it is worth mentioning the digital rearview mirrors and the absence of door handles. The taillights replicate the shape of the headlights while on the rear bumper the trims that simulate an exhaust outlet are backlit.
The interior and technology of the new Mitsubishi XFC Concept
Leaving aside the outside, if we go into the interior of the new XFC Concept we will quickly be enveloped by a futuristic environment. It is obvious that it is a digital and connected vehicle. It features a dual screen system. The instrument panel is fully digital and is combined with a touch screen, a key component to manage the infotainment system.
It is also worth mentioning the air conditioning module. Although it is not integrated into the multimedia screen, it does have controls mounted on a capacitive touch panel. The same goes for the controls that we can find on the multifunction steering wheel. Inside the new XFC Concept can travel up to five adult passengers.
Regarding the mechanical section little or nothing we can point out. Mitsubishi has preferred not to go into details and simply highlight that it is equipped with a new driving mode developed specifically for driving on roads flooded by downpours sudden. The driving mode selector allows you to choose between the following profiles: Normal, Gravel, Mud and Wet.
The production version of the new Mitsubishi XFC Concept
Beyond what is hidden under the hood of the XFC Concept, what is really important about this concept model is that teases a future mass-production SUV. Its launch will take place sometime between the years 2023 and 2024. Will it reach Europe? Good question. Mitsubishi has not directly ruled out its marketing in the Old Continent. However, it has indicated that it is designed for Southeast Asia. We should not have high hopes of seeing him in this part of the world.
