After several official previews we can say that the wait is over. The new MINI Concept Aceman
has been presented in society. We are facing a conceptual model to which we must pay a lot of attention for several reasons. The first of them is that it tells us what the most immediate future of the iconic brand is. MINI. A future marked by electrification at its highest level.
The new MINI Concept Aceman not only lays the foundations for a future 100% electric crossover, it also gives us a glimpse of the design path that future electric vehicles from MINI will follow. And it is that, this concept car has been created on the basis of a new design language which will be applied to future releases. It’s about the “Charismatic Simplicity” philosophy.
The design of the new MINI Concept Aceman
Just take a quick look at the images that illustrate this article to discover the most characteristic features of a concept car that marks a turning point in the process of transforming MINI into a fully electric brand. The company has sought a design that conveys agility and a confident presence. I know have merged some of the features of the MINI Cooper and the MINI Countryman. Features reinterpreted to give life to a crossover.
The MINI design team has worked on a functional two-volume design with short overhangs to create as much space as possible inside. An interior for five passengers that we will talk about later. The Aceman Concept has four doors and a large trunk lid. Starting our tour of the exterior at the front, we must highlight the shape of the grill whose outline is illuminated with LED technology.
The grill is completely closed, something expected when it comes to an electric car. The Matrix LED headlamps they also have their own contours and a very interesting light signature. The side view brings out the original essence of this vehicle. The wheel arches have been carefully modeled and we cannot overlook the door handles perfectly flush with the bodywork and the 20-inch light-alloy wheels.
Finishing our tour of the exterior at the rear, we will quickly realize that the brand has played with the horizontal lines to form the rear. The rear lights also use Matrix LED technology and to favor aerodynamics it has a roof spoiler and characteristic bumpers.
Although it is not something excessively important, it is also worth mentioning the Icy Sunglow Green color of the bodywork, a light turquoise tone that dips into gold. Depending on the reflection of light, the tonality may vary. In addition, it is combined with a roof painted in the traditional British Racing Green metallic.

The interior and technology of the new MINI Concept Aceman
Leaving aside the outside, if we go into the interior of the new Aceman Concept we will quickly be enveloped by a minimalist and technological environment. To increase the feeling of space, priority has been given to open and gently curved surfaces in the door panels and dashboard. Nor should we ignore the large panoramic sunroof, which allows the cabin to be flooded with natural light.
The instrument panel, which extends into the interior in the central area, forms an idyllic setting for the central interface, in which all the functions of the instrument cluster are combined with the on-board computer. All this through a OLED screen. Touch controls gain prominence and, true to its origins, a line of lever switches has been maintained with which to operate the parking brake or the gear selector. The OLED screen is circular and occupies all the available space. The infotainment system interface is also completely new.
MINI has equipped the new Aceman with three experience modes with which to adapt the cabin environment to our personality and, therefore, enjoy a more pleasant journey. For this, the ambient lighting system and the sound equipment are decisive. You can choose between Personal, Pop-Up and Vivid modes.
The seats have a discreet geometry and integrate armrests. They are upholstered in a combination of flat textile fabric, velvet velour, and embossed fabric. MINI has ruled out the use of chrome not only outside, also inside. The multifunction steering wheel, like the door panels, seats and all other surfaces in the cabin, is also without leather.
