One of the latest updates to Minecraft affected the Nether, adding a good handful of biomes and things to do in the “hell” of Mojang’s game. If you have not played for a long time, it is very possible that you do not know all the changes, and it is important that you take note.
From the precious Netherite to groupings of bones, passing through the already well-known fortresses in which to obtain the Blaze dust. It is important that you understand what is in each biome of the new nether and what it offers you as a player.
Minecraft Nether Biomes: What to Get in Each
Crimson forest
In this biome you will find a good handful of enemies that will hit you if you do not have gold equipped: the piglin. On the other hand, there are some giant wild boars that can put you in more than one trouble if you are not careful: the hoglin. Be very careful with the latter, because they can throw you into the lava if you are not careful, and their aggro is quite large.
Here you will find glitters, highly prized for decoration, as well as all kinds of mushrooms and nether wart blocks, to make potions.
Nether Ruins
This is the original Nether biome, and there you can find a lot of useful things. The most dangerous enemy you will find here at the ghast: You have to be very attentive to the noise they make, because the explosion generated by their attacks is VERY dangerous.
Here you will also find one of the most important keys to be able to overcome Minecraft: the strengths. In these places you will get the blaze dust, necessary to open the portal to the End, so you will have to take a walk when you find this biome.
Warped forest
The only interesting thing about this biome are the endermans. Here you will be able to farm them at ease, because they are the only enemy that appears. You will find little else in these forests, so it is recommended that you get a boat to gently push the endermans into it and then be able to kill them without moving (and without being able to harm you).
Sand Valley of Souls
In this biome you can also find fortresses, although probably the most interesting you can find are the bone blocks. If you do not feel like farming this material (a natural accelerator of crops), then you will have to visit the valley of sand of souls.
However, it is a quite dangerous biome, because two very heavy enemies are generated at a distance: the skeletons and ghasts. If it coincides that someone catches you near an edge, you can see how an explosion or a certain arrow can send you to a deadly fall.
Basalt deltas
Although strengths can also be generated here, the reality is that this biome is a real headache. The danger of falling into the lava is constant, and the fact that there is so much ghast only makes it a real danger from the moment you arrive.
The best thing you can do if you get here is to try to leave as quickly as possible and surround this biome.
Under ground
Okay, this is not a biome per se, but you will have to go down to subsoil to get the precious netherite. To do this, choose a quiet biome (choosing the deformed forest seems the best possible choice in this case) and dig VERY carefully up to height 13-20, where this material can appear.
Ideally, place yourself in the layer 14-15, to create tunnels of height 14-20 and thus find the netherite. You’re going to need a good handful of Ancient Rubble to upgrade all your gear, so be patient.
