This afternoon the official announcement of Sony’s new PS Plus took place, with which the Japanese company intends to deal with Microsoft and its Xbox Game Pass. Divided into three different tiers (Essential, Extra and Premium), PlayStation intends to offer players the possibility of enjoying a wide catalog of games in exchange for a monthly subscription in its last two tiers, while the first consists of maintaining the functionalities PS Plus updates.
However, a differentiating aspect between Sony’s service and Microsoft’s is that in the first of them the company’s own AAA games will not be available on launch day, unlike what happens with Redmond’s. For that very reason, Microsoft has stuck out its chest with Xbox Game Pass against PS Plus Premium.

Microsoft takes out chest with Xbox Game Pass against PS Plus Premium
It has been through the official account of Twitter Xbox Game Pass where we have been able to see this “reply” to the announcement of PS Plus Premium. As we can see, the account, in addition to citing the possibility of playing titles from Xbox Game Studios, EA Play and other options, has highlighted that in Xbox Game Pass you can play new games from the day of launch.
Sony’s new subscription service won’t have the most successful feature of Xbox Game Pass
And it is that, if you have been informed about the PlayStation service, Jim Ryan has confirmed that at the moment it is not part of the company’s plans to offer launch games on PS Plus Premium, which undoubtedly represents a wide difference with the policy followed by Microsoft with Xbox Game Pass practically since its implementation.
We will have to see how the service ends up evolving, but what is clear is that right now Microsoft has plenty of reasons to get chest with Xbox Game Pass against PS Plus Premium.
