For years Google Chrome It dominated the market for mobile web browsers and particularly for desktops with absolute power. But out of nowhere Microsoft managed to radically alter the inertia of the playing field with the integration of Artificial Intelligence from ChatGPT and Open AI to Edge.
During the last months we have seen how the company decided to follow in the footsteps of the browser Opera and mimic some of its interface design decisions to integrate a new toolbar powered by the most popular AI assistant of the moment.
Thanks to this, the power of ChatGPT became much more accessible to more users, since the only configuration required was to dust off that old Hotmail/Outlook account without having to register our personal telephone number.
This helped to a large extent for users to start testing this technology and the rage for the use of this technology had to be reflected sooner or later in the change in the distribution of use of desktop browsers.
But for this case there was a curious surprise. Since yes, the Microsoft browser improved its positioning. But in some countries it became much more popular than in others.

the site of stat counter is essentially dedicated to analyzing and projecting the distribution of use of social networks, platforms and web browsers globally, with some special segmentation for some countries or territories.
Month after month this section is updated to discover the most recent trend on usage habits and preferences for different browsers.
Where for the month of April 2023 we discovered that globally Safari is still more used than Edge, with everything and the boost that ChatGPT gave it.
But if we look at the data by region or country, we will find that there are territories where the Microsoft browser is already the second most popular in its territory. As it happens with Mexico:
This is how we find that Chrome continues to be the absolute master worldwide with 66.13% usage preference. Followed in second place by Safari with 11.87% and Edge not far behind already with 11% closed.
Meanwhile, in the case of Mexico the story is different with Chrome the same up with 77.27% but with Edge in second position occupying 10.56%, followed by Safari with 4.64%.
It seems that little by little the terrain is changing.
