Just a month ago Microsoft put on the table the new option of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate. A family and friends plan, which will allow us to bring together several people to benefit from the subscription service together. Right now it is in the testing phase in both Ireland and Colombia.
It has been in these two countries where an official website has already been enabled, which allows us to know new details. For example, the price in the South American country will be 49,900 dollars per month, while in Ireland it will be necessary to invest 21.99 euros. Up to five people can be included in the plan.
The big restriction for this is that all members belong to the same country and each person will have their own Xbox account and profile to save their games and earn achievements. Also, you can only be a member of one group at a time and the maximum number of people that can vary within the group in a single year is eight.
A member will be able to drop in and out of a group only once per year and the primary account holder will be able to share Game Pass at home. Of course, when we are talking about the Ultimate level, access to the game will be granted on console, PC and in the cloud, along with EA Play and the rest of the benefits.
A member will need to act as the primary payer and will be able to add users to the group. Regarding its availability in the rest of the territories, Microsoft points out that “it is possible that countries or regions will be added in the coming months futures”.
One last detail to note is that the conversion of days between different plans will be applied as follows:
- 30 days of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate is 18 days of Xbox Game Pass Friends & Family
- 30 days of Xbox Game Pass (console) is 12 days of Xbox Game Pass Friends & Family
- 30 days of PC Game Pass is 12 days of Xbox Game Pass Friends & Family
- 30 days of Xbox Live Gold is 12 days of Xbox Game Pass Friends & Family
- 30 days of EA Play is 6 days of Xbox Game Pass Friends & Family
